Nancy Jane Partin passed away on September 21, 2026, in Cartersville, Georgia. She was 62 years old. Nancy will be remembered as a bubbly, sweet woman with the grace of a true Southern belle, whose kindness touched everyone around her. She was known for her gentle spirit, her patience, and the warmth she carried into every room. Very seldom did her family ever see her get mad, and those who knew her understood that she was someone who never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She was truly a one-of-a-kind soul.

Nancy devoted nearly 30 years of her life to the Cherokee County School System, building a career marked by dedication, compassion, and pride in her work. She began as a substitute teacher, later serving as an ISS teacher before moving into the role of ASP Director and then bookkeeper in the front office. In time, she found what she considered the job of her dreams as Administrative Assistant Registrar. She loved her work and found deep meaning in it, taking joy in seeing so many children grow up, move through school, and graduate. Along the way, she became a friend to coworkers and students alike, and her presence left a lasting impression on the school community.

Outside of work, Nancy found happiness in simple pleasures that reflected her bright and loving nature. She enjoyed reading Nicholas Sparks books and spending quiet time with puzzle books. She loved comedy shows, and laughter was a constant part of her life. Quoting lines from her favorite television show, Friends, was one of the many ways she brought smiles to those around her. Her sense of humor, combined with her tender heart, made her a source of comfort and joy to family and friends.

Above all, Nancy cherished her family. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Blevins, and Elizabeth’s husband, Ethan; her son, Patrick Partin; her sister, Ann Christy, and Ann’s husband, Michael; and her brother, David Norman, and David’s wife, Alicia. She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces, Kelly Hammond, Melissa Giglio, Tilly Sara; and great niece, Emina Giglio, and by her great nephew, James Giglio. Each of them carries forward memories of Nancy’s kindness, laughter, and loving spirit.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Partin; her father and mother, Ronald and Lois Norman; and her sister, Rhonda Norman. The love she shared with her family remains a lasting part of her legacy, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 28, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 S. Main Street, Acworth, GA 30101.

Nancy’s life was defined by kindness, laughter, devotion, and grace. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.
