Pamela Brooks Yeager

Pamela Brooks Yeager-of Shreveport Louisiana, born December 22, 1939 in Long Beach, CA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 2, 2023 in Kennesaw, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Luana Ledbetter and her beautiful daughter Kimber Everage. She is survived by her daughters, Robbin Yeager, Regina Yeager (Brian Kanapkey), sister Cyndra Wilson (James), granddaughters Christina Weber (Brad), Ashley Everage, Abby Williamson (Landon), Hannah and Molly Kanapkey and great-grandsons Matthew Farmer, Weston, and Wyatt Williamson.

Pam was a graduate of Fair Park High School in 1957. She retired from Willis Knighton Medical Center after 40 loyal years of serving others. She was a proud member of the American Business Women’s Association and Krewe of Gemini for many years. She loved her family unconditionally and had a generous heart. She often helped others in need by giving away money she should have spent on herself.

She was a funny and quirky lady. Her sense of humor brought joy to those around her. Her laughter was contagious. She loved to sing and often commented on how she wished she had joined a church choir. She entertained her family with songs including Lavendar’s Blue Dilly Dilly and many church hymns she learned on Sundays from her beloved Mom and Dad, our Nanny and Papa. She passed away with How Great thou Art playing in the background.

She was always surrounded by whatever animals she had adopted. Too many Pekingese and/or cats to name and one irritating poodle she adored named Pierre. She loved to have fun and cook her favorite dishes. Her Christmas rice Chex mix complete with Tabasco and bacon grease is legendary to anyone who ever tried it. It was a family favorite as well as entertainment for us all. She used to love to make pea soup on Sundays.

She also loved to take her chances on the slots and her family would go with her to the Louisiana Casino boats entertained by how she would play and hope for the big win, which we are sure she would have given away to all her family and friends. She was loved and she will be missed by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be in December.

Many thanks to AG Rhodes Rehab, Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and Hospice for their kind care at the end of her journey on earth.
