Patricia Bohannon

August 28, 1945 — May 19, 2026

Patricia Ann "Pal" Bohannon, born Patricia Ann Lide, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on August 28, 1945, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Pal was known for her strength, warmth, humor, and deep love for her family. To everyone who knew her, she was simply "Pal" - a name that perfectly reflected the caring and loving person she was throughout her life.

Pal dedicated 23 years of service to the United States Postal Service, working at multiple branches throughout her career before retiring from the Woodstock Post Office. She took pride in her work and built many lasting friendships along the way.

More than anything else, Pal loved her family. She is survived by her daughters, Tonya True and husband Byron True, and Leve Leverett and husband Kenny Leverett.

She also leaves behind her four beloved grandchildren: Brandon Bohannon, Daniel True, Mark Leverett, and Sydney Leverett, all of whom she adored deeply and spoke of with endless pride and love.

Pal especially treasured the everyday moments spent with her family - conversations, laughter, games, meals together, and simply being surrounded by the people she loved most. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life.

She will be remembered for her resilient spirit, her compassionate heart, her sense of humor, and the way she always made those around her feel loved and important.

Pal's remains will be laid to rest at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur, Georgia, beside her mother and father in the family plot.

In lieu of flowers or formal services, Pal requested that donations be made to pet rescue organizations or that a rescue pet be adopted in her memory - a reflection of the deep love she always had for animals.

Her family will forever carry her love, strength, stories, and memory in their hearts.
