Kennesaw, GA

Richard A. Brown, better known as Tony Brown, of Kennesaw, GA went home to be with the Lord on July 11, 2025.

He was born on October 11, 1954 to Wm. Elmer Brown and Martha J. Brown. Tony is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Tressie Sue, daughter and son-in-law; Kerri and Paul Hicks, son and daughter-in-law; Andrew and Erica Brown. He had six grandchildren, Mason, Justin, Luke, and Natalie Hicks, Ava and Tyler Brown. He was a brother to Dr. Wm. Michael Brown (Katie), Debbie Spain (Eddie), and Dodi Brown. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was a nephew and cousin to countless. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wm. Elmer Brown and Martha J. "Jimmie" Brown.

Tony loved the Lord, his family, to tell his stories, joke around and make people laugh. He was a huge Braves fan, Dawgs fan and loved deer hunting which then turned into deer watching. He loves his little dog, Rose. For over 50 years Tony worked for and eventually owned the family business, Wm. Elmer Brown Plumbing, Heating and Air. He was the hardest worker to anyone who knew him.

Tony Brown was known by many and loved by all. He was Tony, Daddy, Dad, Jerk (inside joke), Grandadddy, Uncle, Hero, Favorite Cousin, Best Friend, Pal and lets not forget Mr. Perfect. He will be greatly missed, but as believers in Jesus , we are so thankful to know that we will see him again in Heaven!

There will be a celebration of Tony's life held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers we ask that anyone wanting to honor Tony Brown, donate to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Wellstar Tranquilty Foundation in his name.
