Robert H. (BUG) Roland, Jr.

Robert Harold (BUG) Roland, Jr., age 60 of Cartersville passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday July 16, 2025 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. He was born May 13, 1965, son of Mamie Jo Towe Roland and the late Robert Harold Roland Sr. He enjoyed his job and loved to work. Bug loved everybody and he loved to make you laugh and cry at the same time He gave his heart to Jesus in Cartersville Hospital June 30.2025. He is preceded in death by his father; Robert H, Roland Sr., two sisters; Linda Haney Dover and Rita Haney Baxter. 

Survivors include the love of his life; Jesse Maybern of Cartersville, mother; Mamie Jo Roland, of Cartersville, one daughter and son-in-law; Harlee and Abraham Moody of Cartersville, two brothers and sister-in-law; Rev. Marlon and Sheryl Haney and Jeffery Heath of Cartersville, three sisters; Trisha Haney Murphy, Rhonda Roland Ethriddge and Tammy Roland Banks, all of Cartersville, Just like a sister; Darlene Vernon Henson also of Cartersville. Nephews Todd Dover (Susan), Britt Baxter(Dana), Ricky Smith, Ben Murphy(Gretchen), Nieces; Brittany Roland, Tori Stouffer, Leslie Bank, Brittany Clegg, Callisa Height. A host of other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM from Creekside Fellowship Church, 585 Old Alabama Rd. Cartersville with Pastor Marlon Haney and Rev. Doug Vernon officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM till funeral hour.

Pallbearers will include Todd Dover, Britt Baxter, Chad Maybern, Daniel Vernon, Chris Ledford, John Ross and Darren Pruitt.
