Roderick (Rod) S Mathews, Sr.
Transitioned to his heavenly home August 2, 2026, at the age of 47 in Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, GA. He was born on September 10, 1978, in Vicksburg, MS, and later moved to Kennesaw, GA in 2005.
Rod was known for his love for the Lord, his family, and everyone he encountered. He was known for his hardworking nature and steady and reliable way he approached life. His personality was full of the Fruit of the Spirit. Dependable for whatever task that was presented to him. He and his best friend, “Joe” was inseparable.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 15th, 2026 at 11:30AM at Northstar Community Church. A visitation will take place starting at 10:00 AM until the service hour.
