RoseMarie Nodzak

RoseMarie Nodzak of Asbury Park, New Jersey passed away on January 19 at 3 PM surrounded by her loving husband, Joe and her two daughters Traci Nodzak and Nanci Freeman she was 81 years old.

Roe, as she was lovingly known, was born on October 20, 1942 to Angelo Juliano in Asbury Park New Jersey. Roe met her husband Joe when she was 16 at Asbury Park High School. They got married on August 30th 1964 and began their family. They bought their first home in Middletown NJ. They moved to Woodstock Georgia and were there 24 years before moving to Acworth.

Roe was a paraprofessional and touched many young people’s lives over the years. Her students meant the world to her. She built very special relationships with her kids and their families for many years to come after she stopped teaching.

Roe made friends with everyone everywhere she went. She talked to strangers in the grocery store and never forgot a name or face. While Joe was buying subway tokens in NYC, she nudged my Dad out of the way and started to tell the cashier her name, her childhood address and car license plate number, she finished by saying you look exactly the same as you did the last time I saw you when we were seven years old”. She had an amazing memory.

Roe loved to walk in the boardwalk and spend the day at the beach with her family. She loved to dance and talk. And she did both every chance she got. LOL She danced with Joe until the very end of her life . Even when she could no longer walk, she danced with her husband. And talked. Then talked some more. lol  She loved music, exercising and writing poems. She hated golf but loved the friends she made through Joe playing golf.

She absolutely adored her only grandchild, Nanci and Herbi’s daughter, Tia Renee. She was so proud to be called Nana she made it her license plate.

Her compassion, dedication and love for her students, her children, her Sweet T and her husband will be so very missed.

Roe is survived by her husband Joe, her daughters Nanci and Traci, her granddaughter Tia Renee, her brother Frank Carchedi, her nephew Joe Carchedi and niece Clara Marie, her nieces Margie Jean, Julie Henderson (Mark), Vicki Burke (Steve), her nephew Vinnie D’Anna and many other grand nephews nieces. Her sister in law Patricia Tryon and her niece Theresa Watrous ( Diamond)

The family will have visitation this Tuesday January 23rd from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Service from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and a repast to follow at the Nodzak’s home. Please come have some food and listen to Joe tell stories about the woman he has loved for over 60 years.
