Sharon Lea Pearson, age 76, of Woodstock, Georgia, peacefully fell asleep in death on April 17, 2026.

She was born on July 21, 1949, in Waterloo, Iowa, the eldest of six children born to Donald L. Morehead Sr. and Virginia Moore Morehead. As the oldest, Sharon naturally carried a strength and sense of responsibility that would shape the way she loved and cared for others throughout her life.

Sharon later made her home in Georgia, where she devoted many years to serving others as a private caregiver. She was known for her compassion, resilience, and ability to bring comfort to those in her care. Above all, she was a devoted servant of Jehovah for 56 years and a faithful member of the Towne Lake Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She found great joy in sharing her faith and speaking with others about her God, Jehovah.

Sharon had a deep and abiding love for her family. She cherished time spent talking, laughing, and staying connected with her children, grandchildren, and friends. Her presence was strong, her spirit vibrant, and her love unwavering.

She is survived by her children: Darryl Pearson; Jerome (Crystal) Pearson; Lisa (Henry) Beal; Darlene (James) Houston; Michael Green; Pearl (Chance) Santos; and Rachelle Pearson Davis.

She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Andre Pearson, Tinaja Pearson, Melani Pearson, Tesa (Shaun) Miller, Henry Beal Jr., Leah Beal, Cathia Houston, James Houston Jr., India Houston, Micah Houston, Dominique Nicole Green, Shayla (Trevor) Price, Tiffani (Venquavious) Souder, Arnisha Moss (Steve), Lateef Pearson, Brianna Pearson, Yasmine (Joshua) Wilridge, Nathaniel Johnson, Jewel Santos, Nehemiah Santos, Marchelle (Joshua) Alston, Chemar Davis, and Marcellus Davis, along with 39 great-grandchildren who will continue her legacy.

She is also survived by her brothers, Duane E. (Diane) Morehead and Tony L. (Shannon) Morehead, both of Waterloo, Iowa; her sister, Audrey L. Moore of Jackson, Mississippi; her Aunt Joyce Morehead and Aunt Juanita “Nita” Ziensmaster of Los Angeles CA, Uncle Jerry Morehead of Ontario CA, and Aunt Margo Collins Draine of Waterloo IA, her special cousin, Hattie Marie Derden of Melbourne, Florida; and her dear friends, Edna Bryant of Jacksonville, Florida, and Leavy and Charlene Collins of Atlanta, Georgia, Danni American of Florida and she also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Pearson; her father, Donald L. Morehead Sr.; her sons, Ronald E. Green Jr. and Brian Anthony Pearson; her brothers, Donald L. Morehead Jr. (Bubba) and Terence “Terry” Morehead; her paternal grandparents, William Morehead Sr. and Ella Curry Morehead; and her maternal grandparents, Gaston Moore and Mattie Pearl Montgomery Moore.

Sharon’s life was a testament to strength, faith, and enduring love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service to honor the life of Sharon Pearson will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 at 4:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 665 Mountain Road Woodstock, Georgia 30188.
