Sheila Vigue Martin, age 61 of Kennesaw, GA passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Norman Vigue.
Sheila was born on December 26, 1960, in Malden, MA. She grew up in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and graduated from Roy C. Ketchum High School. She worked for a year after graduating from high school and then joined the United States Army. Sheila spent 8 years serving our country with most of her time stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. After leaving the Army she moved to the Atlanta area and worked in the medical insurance claim industry. She spent the last twenty plus years working at MedAdmin Solutions as a Medical Insurance Claims Processor.
Sheila is survived by her sister Deborah Barber of Simpsonville, SC, her brother David Vigue (Christine) of Hendersonville, NC, her sister Susan Fleming (Brian) of Hartwell, GA, her sister Michele Vigue of Marietta, GA, her brother Mark Vigue (Stacey) of Roswell, GA, her sister Diana Simmons (Doug) of Woodstock, GA, and Jamie Amos (Wayne Ledbetter) of Dawsonville, GA. She is also survived by her niece Stephanie Edmonds (Chris), her nephew Matthew Kilmer (Sarah), her niece Patricia Cook, her nephew Joey Fleming, her niece Ava Vigue, her nephew Owen Vigue, her niece Brittany Anderson, her niece Sarah Anderson, her niece Piper Amos, and her nephew Norman Ledbetter. Sheila is also survived by four great-nieces.
Due to Covid concerns, a private family ceremony will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in her memory.
