Sheila Marie Valk, 62, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2026.

Sheila was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was defined by her unwavering selflessness and love for others. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Tim Valk, and together they built a family that was the center of her world.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tim Valk; her children, Austin Valk, Brett Valk, Mason Valk, and Jordan Valk; and her cherished grandchildren, Barrett, Brooks, Parker, Elliott, Beckett, and Isla Valk. She is also survived by her siblings, George Wilson Jr., Mark Wilson, Teresa Kotch, and Cathy Taylor.

Sheila dedicated 41 years of her life to Kroger Co., where she built a respected career in leadership. Her work ethic was unmatched, and she led with quiet strength, integrity, and a deep care for those around her.Known for her pure heart, gentle spirit, and constant kindness, Sheila had a way of making everyone feel cared for. She was the one who always showed up, always gave more than she received, and always put others before herself. Her love for family was evident in everything she did.She found joy in the simple and meaningful things—especially Christmas, collecting antiques, and, above all, spending time with her family. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and love.Sheila’s legacy is one of compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion. The impact she made on her family and everyone who knew her will never be forgotten.
