Sherryl Elise Hightower Harvey

Sherryl Elise Hightower Harvey, 80, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on June 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Sherryl was born on June 12, 1946, in Savannah Georgia. She graduated from North Fulton High School in 1964 and the University of Georgia in 1968. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, David M. Harvey, in 1968.

She was an avid school volunteer and worked at Sprayberry High School for 23 years where she was the school secretary. Sherryl was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Sherryl was preceded in death by her mother Hannah Ruth Canning Hightower and father Edward Woodham Hightower Jr.

Sherryl is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, David M. Harvey of Marietta, Georgia; her children Michael (Brooke) Harvey of Carrolton, Georgia and Beth (Chris) Turner of Woodstock, Georgia; her grandchildren Kate and Matthew Harvey and Abby, Jack, Ryan and Ella Grace Turner.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Sherryl’s memory.
