He was born on November 16, 1946 in Florence, SC. Steve Bowles Folds was known for his independence, strong convictions, and practical approach to life. He lived by his own rules, valued self-reliance, and never asked more of others than he was willing to give himself.

He is survived by his sons, Jay Folds and Jeff Folds; his daughter, Demi Stein; his sister, Wanda Britt; and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Folds; his brother, Ron Folds; and others who have gone before him. In accordance with his wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.

The family appreciates the thoughts and prayers of those who knew him and asks that his memory be honored in a quiet and personal way.

Steve lived life on his own terms and he will be remembered in the ways that mattered most to those who knew him.
