Ted (Theodore) Wilson Birdsell Jr. born May 23, 1938 from Jacksonville, Illinois passed away peaceful on the morning of Monday, December 15th in Dallas, Georgia after bravely battling cancer for 6 years. Ted was preceded in death by his wife Linda in 2023.

In 2015 Ted retired after a 37 year career running Ted Birdsell Builders in Jacksonville and moved to Georgia with Linda to be close to their daughter Lisa, and her husband, and their son.

Ted served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and was stationed in Michigan. He was long time member, usher, and trustee at both Grace United Methodist Church in Jacksonville and The Fellowship at County Line Church in Georgia. He loved boating and water skiing, and watching his kids soccer and basketball games. Ted was also an advisor to Boy Scout Troop 107 and was awarded the Order of the Arrow. Later in life Ted became a private pilot and enjoyed owning a Cessna airplane with a good friend. He could be found most Saturday mornings out at Jacksonville Airport or Cartersville Airport in Ga.

He is survived by his brother Bill Birdsell (Marianne), sons Todd Birdsell (Ann), Scott Birdsell , and his daughter Lisa Birdsell Millslagle, and her husband Erik, and their son Victor, of Dallas Ga. The funeral will be held on December 28 at 1:00pm at The Fellowship at County Line in Acworth Georgia. The service will be live-streamed on the church’s Facebook page.
