Theresa B. Stang

Theresa B. Stang passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026 in Acworth, Georgia. Theresa was born to Bernard and Theresa Benosky on July 4, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Catherine McAuley High School and went on to have a career at IBM where she met her loving husband of 48 years, Warren Stang.

Theresa and Warren wed on September 16, 1978 and welcomed two daughters, Donna in 1981 and Jennifer in 1984. They raised their family in Marietta, Georgia where they spent 35 wonderful years before relocating to Acworth, Georgia in 2020.

Theresa was a deeply committed wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devoted Christian and nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by her family.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Warren; daughters Donna DeVaux (Rob) and Jennifer Beck (Kinan); stepdaughter, Joanne Mort, grandchildren Emma and Ava DeVaux, Chloe and Caden Beck, Andrew Aguiar, Christopher and Justin Stang, and four great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Benosky; and sisters, Joan Knox, Maria Scanlon, and Doreen Scavuzzo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Theresa Benosky, brother, Stanley Benosky, and stepson, Christopher Stang.

A Celebration of Life will held on August 1, 2026 at 11:00 am at NorthStar Church, 3413 Blue Springs Road, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
