On Thursday, July 27, 2017, Georgia Funeral Care founder Kevin R. Marcy
and Darrell Waits, Georgia Funeral Care Veteran Liason, held a flag presentation at Felton Manor, in Cartersville, GA. Family and friends were invited to attend this ceremony to honor 5 veterans for the sacrifice and service to our nation. With the help of Chris and Rocky of Heartland Hospice, Kevin and Darrell welcomed everyone, had a prayer and said the Pledge of Allegiance. Then each veteran was introduced and were given a few minutes to talk about their military experience and then were personally presented a full sized folded military burial flag. After the ceremony those gathered were treated to cake and had a chance to visit with our honored recipients.
