Ms. Betty NellPressley, 77, of Cartersville, passed away Saturday, November 11th, 2017following complications from surgery in Rome, GA. Born February 13th, 1940 tothe late Doyle and Hazel Pell Pressley in Kingston, GA, Betty Nell is survivedby her sister and brother-in-law, Mary & Alvin Barnette of Cartersville,sister-in-law, Peggy Pelfrey, of Toccoa, her children, Christy (Chris)Frothingham of Cartersville, Robert (Amy) Pressley of Acworth, and NathanPressley, of Cartersville, whom at age 42, she adopted and sacrificedselflessly to provide for, her grandchildren and lights of her life, Emma,Robert Jr and Cameron, as well as many dear nieces and nephews, to whom allreferred to her as "Aint Nell". She was proceeded in death by herparents Doyle & Hazel, brother, Bobby Pressley of Hartwell, GA, sister,Barbara Ann Flowers of Waleska, niece, Connie Pendley of Ballground, andnephew, Timothy Pressley of Toccoa. A member of Young Street Baptist Church inCartersville, Nell was confident in her faith and future with her lord andsavior. Nell retired in 2006, after 37 years with Shaw Industries and thencontinued to be busy with her home, gardens and only grandchild at the time,Emma, who became her best little friend and confidant.
