Denton Woodrow Murphy 77, of Cartersville, Ga. Passed away peacefully at his home on April 20th, 2022. Born on October 30, 1944, he was the son of the late Berta Lou (Wilson) Murphy and the late James Murphy. He was of the Baptist faith. Along with his late mother and his late father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jo Ann Murphy, Brothers Jimmy Murphy, and Bobby Murphy.

Denton is survived by his loving wife Pamela Hale Murphy to whom he was married for 25 years, son Denton Jordan Hale and wife Nichelle Hale, grandchildren Vada Hale, Tate Hale and Mavis Hale, brother Johnny Murphy, sister-in-law Irish Murphy and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Denton was retired from First Brands (Clorox) where he was employed for 35 years. He enjoyed watching Nascar Racing and was a vehicle enthusiast. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends. Denton will be sorely missed and forever loved by all who knew him.

Family and Friends are invited to a memorial service on April 26th, 2022, at 10 AM, Salacoa Baptist Church, 100 Collins Place, Salacoa, Cherokee County Ga. 30183, with Pastor Buford Lipscomb officiating the services.
