October 6, 1958- May 4, 2020

Edwin Glenn Brooks, Jr, 61, of Smyrna, GA passed away on May 4, 2020 after a recent illness.  Originally from Calhoun, GA, he moved to Atlanta in 1976 to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology.  Through a mutual friend there he met his wife and they lived in Cobb County their entire marriage. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Sherrie (McClendon), a son Alex, a daughter Jessica, and a sister Ann (Brooks) Sleep of Tallahassee, along with extended family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his mother Winona (Early) Brooks and father Ed Brooks. Glenn graduated from Ga Tech and worked in several jobs in IT, including 13 years with Sprint and 5 with Apple.  He had a wonderful passion for music, movies, and reading.  His sense of humor and brilliant mind won't be forgotten.

A memorial service will be scheduled later this year when family and friends can gather to celebrate Glenn.
