Kedmin Velez

Kedmin Velez (AKA Mr. V), age 73, of Canton, Georgia passed away at his residence surrounded by loved ones. He was born April 1947 in Bronx, New York, the only son of Rogelio and Malvina Velez. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Maria Velez, his 3 daughters Kimberly, Brandy, and Jacky, and his 2 beautiful grandsons Tristin and Kingston. Kedmin was a US Navy veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a man who loved and respected the country he served. We will miss his sense of humor, his quick wit, and his love of music, books, and movies (but only with popcorn, extra butter!) Kedmin loved traveling, jogging, playing tennis, and experimenting in the kitchen with exotic dishes (often to Maria’s dismay). One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren, the little lights of his life. He was a great provider and protector of family, friends, and animals. The world will miss his beautiful soul.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 31, 2020, at 11:00 am at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, GA. https://www.georgiafuneralcare.com/

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the ASPCA or a local no-kill animal shelter of your choice. https://www.aspca.org
