Mr. H. Tom Bierkamp, Jr (Tommy) age 77, passed away on November 4, 2020. He was born in Rockwood, TN to H. Tom Sr and Ava Lucille East Bierkamp on March, 24, 1943. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Charles, Sr. Tom served in the US Navy for 24 years and retired in 1994. He has many accomplishments and medals and most notably serving in Operation Desert Storm and in the Color Guard for President Kennedy's funeral. After retiring, he received his Master's Degree in Business at Northwoods University in Texas. He then moved back home to Georgia to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved rebuilding classic cars and sitting in the garage with his brother and friends watching the traffic and exchanging old stories while his pup, Roxi sat in his lap. Survivors include his son, John Douglas and Tami Bierkamp of Acworth, GA and his daughter Ava DeAnne Little of Dallas, GA; Grandchildren Miranda Jean Bierkamp, Nicole (Evan) Noble, Nikki (Mike) McCourt, and Anne Marie (Armel) Sabic; four great grandchildren Ava, Eli and Emmitt (Noble) and Declan (Sabic); brother David L. Bierkamp and Sister Melba A. Scarborough; four nephews, two nieces and many many special friends. A funeral service to honor Tom will be held on Sunday, November 8th at 3:00 pm at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation at 1:00 pm preceding the service.
