On Sunday, February 14th, 2021, William Hicks loving Husband, Father, and Papa passed away at the

age of 59. He was born on September 26, 1961 in North Carolina and was born to Leon and Frankie Hicks.

He grew up in Ellijay, Georgia and graduated from Gilmer County Highschool and went on to serve in the

United States Airforce. On February 15th, 1992 he married Tara Michelle Hicks and they have been

happily married for 29 years.

Bill Hicks had no trouble making friends. Anyone that knew him, loved him and his sarcastic sense of

humor. If there is one thing about Bill that is for sure, he knew how to liven up any situation and put a smile

on everyone’s face. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, playing and taking care of his

grandchildren, and getting together with friends. He was survived by his wife Michelle Hicks and his three

children, Jake Hicks and his wife Leanne Hicks, Jordyn Hicks Benitez and her husband Raul Benitez, and

Sean Hicks and his girlfriend Alex Cervasio and three grandchildren, Anthony, Aria, and Adalyn. He is also

survived by his brother Daniel Hicks and his sister Angie Flowers and her husband Kenny Flowers, and

numerous nieces and nephews.

We will be holding a memorial service for William Hicks on Saturday February 20th, 2021 at 10 am. The

service will be held at North Metro Church with a celebration of life to follow between 1-5pm at The Venue

on Main. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Go Fund Me, any other contributions can be

difficult time.
