----------------------
I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now, I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work, or play
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found that peace at the close of the day
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life has been full, I've savored much
Good friends, good times,
a loved one's touch
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free!

God’s Gift of Time we all need a time to grieve - quiet time for reflection to sift through memories and come to grips with what has happened, we all need a time for tears, not for the one who is now at peace in heaven, but for ourselves as we realize that things will never be the same. we aII need a time to just “ be,” when we can open ourselves to God and let the reassurance of His everlasting love start to heal our broken hearts. We pray that as God tenderly heals our hearts He amplifies the wonderful memories that we have of John. as He selects the small impulses in our minds that brings a smile to our faces and Joy to our hearts. May we find as time passes, That these impulses multiply in number and frequency. We give praise to our Lord for His Grace, Comfort, and Ever Lasting Love. Trust in His Grace and Love For it is the solace for our souls Jack Stott Reply to this comment

I met John in 2017 when he was living with Steve Miller in Knoxville TN. We had a lengthy conversation at Steve’s pool where I led John to Jesus. We kept in touch over the last four years to various degrees. It really, really grieves me to know that John’s struggles in life overcame his desire to live. I’m so heartbroken. I’m also praying that his family can eventually find peace. Reply to this comment
