Kathleen Garner

Kathleen Garner, age 99, of Canton (Sutallee), GA peacefully went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2022.  Kathleen was born in Lawrenceville, GA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Leroy (Roy) Garner, her parents, Charles and Jackie Bowles, 11 brothers and sisters, and her son-in-law, Wayne Page.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Page, her grandchildren, Deborah Lewis (Steve) and Noel Page (Tom); great-grandchildren, Chris Ring (Jessica) and Emily Ring; and three great-great-granddaughters, Addie, Harper, and Emmie Ring.

She was a devoted church member of Sutallee Baptist Church, a Sunday School teacher, and a Bible School worker for the past 35 years.  She was an avid gardener, quilter, and reader. She was “Rosie the Riveter”, an excellent cook, President of the local AARP, member of the Canton Moose Lodge, and an avid Atlanta Braves fan. 

She is being cremated and her ashes buried with her husband in the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.  A Celebration of Life will be held, on December 3, 2022, at 11 am at Sutallee Baptist Church, Canton, GA. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Sutallee Baptist Church – Youth Fund, 895 Knox Bridge Hwy, White, GA 30184.
