The Rev. Dr. James D. Curtis died peacefully on February 19, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Memorial arrangements to be announced. Georgia Funeral Care, Acworth, GA.
Dear Ben and Polly, I am devastated to hear of Jim's death. We would touch base whenever I was in Atlanta and loved reconnecting at Kanuga. Jim set me on my career path and I will forever be grateful. May he rest in peace and rise in glory and may God's angels send you messages of comfort and peace. Fondly, Clifford King Harbin Lovett School Class of '78 Currently serving at St. John's Episcopal Church, Portsmouth, VA

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We were good friends when were both serving as priests in the Diocese of East Tennessee. He was a great Rector of Grace Episcopal in Chattanooga. We traveled to Haiti together with Bishop Sanders and raised money for the school and hospital there selling Haitian art. Our wives and kids were friends too. I regret that I lost touch with him when he moved to Atlanta.
Rest in peace, friend.
