Ronald Eugene Heffner of Woodstock, Ga. better known as “Ron” or “Friend”, especially to widows or anyone in need, has received his upward call, at age 52, to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 28, 2019. Ron loved life to the fullest! Some of those loves were being a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher here at FBCW. In his younger years, he was proud and honored to serve our country in the 82nd Airborn division of the U.S. Army.  After his time in service,  he has enjoyed being the owner of  "Heritage Heating and Air," which he used often to minister to people. No gesture to small to show his passion for others. He leaves behind his loving wife of 29yrs, Becky, or as Ron affectionately called her, “Petit,” whom he enjoyed birding with, his father, Clyde Edwin Heffner from St. Marys, OH. Ron also leaves behind his son, Adam, a soon to be graduate of Kennesaw State University, with whom he enjoyed bonding in true NASCAR fashion. Before he got his upward call, he was blessed to give his daughter Sarah in marriage, to her love, John Opris, last November. He also leaves behind his mother, Deloris Irene Carr, “Dee,”of Canton Ga., and his elder brother, Wayne Heffner of Woodstock Illinois. And multiple nieces and nephews.

To anyone blessed to have known Ron, and experienced his bigger than life personality, and his ability to turn any boring story into a tale of laughter, the family invites you to join them, in a “Celebration of his life service.” Saturday, May 4th at 2pm at First Baptist Church Woodstock, in the Chapel.

I just heard of Ron's passing. He was my HVAC guy for many years and I so enjoyed his visits to my house! I've never met a nicer man. You could tell how much he loved his family and friends. He was definitely one of the good guys. My sincere condolences to his family. Reply to this comment

I have been a customer of Ron's for over twenty years and began to consider him a friend and looked forward to our long chats when he'd come to service our HVAC system. His love for his family, his country, and his Savior was always evident, and I hope that brings comfort to his family now. A void has been created by his passing, and we will miss him greatly. With deepest sympathy to his beloved family. Reply to this comment

I've just learned about Ron's passing, my condolences to the family. I met Ron many years ago through a friend who had referred him to me for HVAC services. He was friendly, knowledgeable and so very trustworthy. It's hard to find people who love what they do and who are fair and honest. Ron was all of those things to me. He was a really nice guy. God bless him and bless his family. Reply to this comment

I just learned of Ron's passing, and my deepest sympathies to Becky, Adam, Sarah, Clyde, and Delores. Words can't express my sorrow for your loss. I went to high school with Ron, and we were great friends almost from the moment we met. We lost touch after high school, but the world feels a little more empty knowing he's not in it. I graduated high school with Ron in Hillsdale, MI. He came to our school junior year. All I can say is....for our small midwest town....he was quite a character. He never came to any of our class reunions but all of us from class of '85 who knew him wish him god speed. Reply to this comment

To the family of Mr. Ron Heffner, I send you prayers for strength and comfort during this difficult time. I only “knew” Ron from Facebook Bird groups. He was one who always had a kind comment about pictures I shared of my Backyard birds and so I became very familiar with his name. I am so very sorry for your loss. Reply to this comment
