Jacyna Eason-Reid

Jacyna Eason-Reid, 64, of Mableton, Ga passed away quietly on July 16, 2017 after losing her battle to cancer.  She was born July 25, 1952 in Chicago, IL to Mattie and Herman Eason.  She was affectionately known as Jay. She graduated in the top of her class from Crane High School and was attending National Teachers College Evanston when she met the love of her life, Carl Reid. Their union lasted 47 years. 

 

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Jay is survived by her husband Carl Reid, son Cherod Reid and step son Chris Calloway; grandchildren Justin, Aerius, Cameron, Cayla and Charmaine; parents Mattie and Herman Eason; sisters Anita Eason, Wordie Adams, Cynthia Eason-Williams and Earlene Eason; brothers Herman Eason and Jerome Eason. Mother-in-law Mattie Reid; brothers-in-law Donnie Reid and Dennis Reid; special niece and nephew Jacyna and Jonathan Williams and host of relatives and friends. 


A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Georgia Funeral Care and Cremation Services, on Saturday, 7/29/17 at 4:00 pm.  Family hour be from  3 – 4 pm
