Brian Olcott LaRaia

Brian Olcott LaRaia, born October 19, 1968, in Oneida, NY, died April 9, 2021.  Brian grew up in Illian, NY and graduated from Notre Dame High School of Utica and Columbia University in New York City (BA in Asian Studies). He later studied Nietze. He taught English in Japan for almost 3 years and later pursued a career in database management and software development, ultimately helping to build the educational software start up, Nimble. Brian enjoyed traveling around the world, reading, and cooking.  He is survived by his wife Teresa Raczek who he met in 1996 and married in 2004, parents Henry and Maryanne (Dean) LaRaia, twin brother Scott LaRaia, sisters Danielle Barna & Teresa Harris, 4 nieces and 1 nephew.  The family will hold a private service.  In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
