My conversations with David were never mundane or run of the mill. They were deep, woven in life's lessons. He was smart, articulate, charming, and fiercely dedicated to his family. I will miss these meaningful, touching interactions. Reply to this comment

Cousinhood is a simple yet essential relationship that most people take for granted. But not my cousin Dave, even though there was a significant gap in age between us, as soon as he heard from his cousin Gloria that I was in Alabama for school, I received a phone call inviting me to Atlanta for dinner with his family. From that time on, Dave and I had a bond. He was one of the first to meet my boyfriend at the time (now my husband). I only have a handful of people I think are dynamite human beings, and Dave was one of them. I always looked up to him and admired him. I will miss our catch-up calls filled with laughter. I have to tell myself that those we love can never be more than a thought away; for as long as there’s a memory, they live on in our hearts. Love you, Dave. My love goes out to Angie and the children. Reply to this comment

The angels gathered near your side so very close to you for they knew the pain and suffering that you were going through. Remembering the things we did together as kids put a smile on my face and happiness in my heart. The Sunday beach trips, all of our Labor Day parades and BBQs. As we grow up, even if we didn’t see each other or speak often, those memories will always be in my heart. Love you Cuz may you forever rest in piece. Reply to this comment
