Donna June McCoy age 86, of Acworth Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 23, 2021. Mrs. McCoy was born on February 25, 1935, to her late parents Joseph Edward Hunt and Pauline Ragsdale Hunt-Strickland. Mrs. McCoy held various positions, in her career including her last position of 20 years, at Devereux Treatment Center in Kennesaw, Georgia. Everyone who really knew her called her "Momma". Always smiling, she loved her community and working with the youth. She loved swimming, skating, and church. Mrs. McCoy was an active member of Acworth Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Austin E. McCoy "Gene", daughter Bronica "Bonnie" Ann Ragan, and David Austin McCoy.
Survived by her children Barry Dale Ragan, spouse Kathy, Pamela McCoy Crane spouse Clay, and Tina McCoy Miller. Grandchildren: Jason Lindsey spouse Diane, Christopher Ragan, Amanda Ragan, Austin Crane spouse, Lauren, Brandi Stone, Branden Stone spouse, Nikki, and Christin Crane and 12 great-grandchildren.
The Services will be held at North Point Church 30 Orchard Rd. Adairsville Georgia 30103. On August 01, 2021 at 3:00pm. Pastor Pam Crane will be officiating. We will be receiving friends and family at North Point 1:30pm-2:45pm with the service at 3:00pm.
