Mr. Danny Hammons (Dude), of Cumming, GA, passedaway on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the age of 55. Danny was born to parents Hubert Lee Hammons andEdna Mae Slay on December 28, 1961 in Marietta, GA. He grew up as the youngestof 8 children. He spent most of his life working in Construction around thegreater Atlanta area. For the last several years Danny has battled Cancer, withover 60 chemo and radiation treatments. The first week in July he was informedit had spread and he only had a few weeks left. He moved into hospice the weekof July 4th. He kept his spirits up and told everyone he would beokay. Cancer won this battle but Danny won overall. He has a new body, a healedbody.

Danny is survived by his two daughters, AliciaHammons and Kayla Hammons; his siblings, Margaret Jordan, Bo Hammons, DonnieHammons, Ricky Hammons and Linda Nichols; 1 grandchild, and numerousnieces/nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Hammons; HisParents, Hubert and Edna; His Brothers, Bill Craig and Ronnie Hammons. A memorial service will be held August 12, 2017;Alpharetta Church of God 1460 Mid Broadwell Rd Alpharetta, GA 30004 at 2:00p.m. The family is grateful for the condolences and prayers, but declinesflowers and donations.
