Mrs. Longyear was my 5th grade teacher at Garrison Mill elementary. I am currently a sophomore in college pursing my teaching degree. Mrs. Longyear is a strong reason why i chose that career. I moved to GA in elementary school from Fl and had a very hard time with transitioning, especially with the the difference on where students were at with their education and where i was at. At the end of the day Mrs. Longyear always reminded me that I am smart enough and that I could do it. That year i exceeded in math on the state test. She went out of her way to make sure i understood the material and to make sure i knew i had her support. I am so sorry i didnt hear of the news earlier. You will forever be remembered!❤️❤️ Rest in Peace beautiful soul Reply to this comment

My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time. I met Krissy in high school. Probably haven't talked to her since then since I moved away from DE. I remember riding around in her "new" car when we were like 16 or 17 - I think a VW Rabbit? Good memories. Sweet, sweet person. May she rest in peace now. Reply to this comment
