Clyde Carter

On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, Clyde Carter, loving husband, father, and Poppy passed away at the age of 77.  Clyde was born on January 3, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to Clyde and Elvira (Timson) Carter.  He retired from the NYC Fire Department.  On June 4, 1966, he married Adele Carter (Smith).  Together they loved and enjoyed 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Clyde loved being around his family.  He is known for being a joker and prankster and always kept everyone he knew laughing and smiling.  

Clyde was preceded in death by his father Clyde, his mother Elvira, and his sister Elvira.  He is survived by his wife Adele, his three children, Thomas Carter (Michiko), Cherie Carbone, Donna Najarro (Jorge), his grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda, Alexia, Joseph, Saydee, Marissa, Thomas Jr., and Kendrick, and his great grandchildren, Christian and Amelia, his three brothers, 2 sisters, and many nieces and nephews.  

A viewing will be held Friday, May 1st, 2020 at Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 S. Main Street, Acworth, GA from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
