Chesley Merrick Alverson-Banks, a native of New Orleans, son of Donice Alverson and Bowdre Banks. In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters Donice and Elizabeth and brother Bowdre. We remember Chesley for his intellect, his great sense of humor, his being a prankster, his keen wit tinged with a bit of mischief, his sparkling eyes, and his beautiful smile. Due to  covid19 restrictions, a private family funeral will be held in New Orleans. Because of what he gave us, we all continue to carry a bit of Chesley within us. Till we meet again.
