After her battle with lung cancer, Nancy Ann Quensel of Acworth, Ga passed away on November 3, 2019 while in hospice care at the age of 69.

Nancy was born on November 14, 1949 in New York City to Father Frederick Azaltovic and mother Anne Azaltovic-Whalen, who predeceased her. She grew up in a loving family with 1 brother, William Paul [Carmen]Azaltovic [both deceased] and 3 sisters, Joyce Marie [John] Rosenstrom, Judith Lynne [Michael] Brideson and Joanne [Richard] Singh. She married Michael Walter Quensel July 14, 1969, who predeceased her and had her son Michael Gary October 10, 1970.

Nancy worked over 35 years in banking, all in Manhattan, New York. She enjoyed what she did and always talked fondly of all the people she met throughout the years. Nancy was an animal lover and I know her current pup, Chewy will miss her dearly. She especially enjoyed playing cards and Casino trips with family and friends. She loved music and dancing. Nancy's father passed when she was 3 months old. Our mother married Joseph Whalen[deceased] and he was the only Dad she knew. Nancy is survived by her son, Michael Gary Quensel, Renea Barfield,  her Granddaughter, Nicole Marie Quensel and her Great Granddaughter, Gwendolyn Rosalie Wall. Along with her 3 sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was very close to her son Michael and they were each other's best friend. They traveled and did so much together and always had fun times. Michael will have great memories with his Mom.

Memories wow! Can't say exactly how old we were when we met, but a good guess is around 10. Went all thru the Bronx years and then Glen Oaks years right up to the night she met her husband Mike at the Community Gardens in Queens Village and on and on. Haven't seen you in a long time Nan but thought of you often and you will be missed. Rest in Peace my childhood friend. Reply to this comment
