Tony Everette Raper Sr., known to his friends as “Gimp”, passed away Friday, January 25th, 2020 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital at the age of 64.

He was born in Cartersville, GA on August 10, 1955. He was a life-long member of the Iron Coffins Motorcycle Club, former business owner of a reliable sewer service, a shade tree mechanic for friends in need, a member of Ingram’s Wrecker Service, and proud father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Lillian Friend; grandparents Clifton and Monice Kim, Ernest Raper, Rosie Samples; and sister Marilynn Gwendolyn Taylor. Tony will forever be remembered by his sisters Jeanette (Benny) Croft, Therese (Sal) Vitale, and Redina (Bobby) Barron; his brother C.J. Friend; his children Tony Raper, Jr. and Jennifer (John) Noland; his step-children Robin Hazeltine and Rachel Jaworski; his grandchildren; honorary son Christian Ingram; long-time best friend Gary Bolton; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A memorial service will be performed at The Entire Bible Baptist Church on Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at 11 a.m. The address for the church is 4980 Cobb Pkwy, Acworth, GA 30101. Friends and family are invited to lunch in the fellowship hall following the conclusion of the service. An additional memorial service will be held in Michigan the following week.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help assist the family.
