Randall Meeks, age 73 (born in Tulsa, OK) passed in early morning on July 18th w/his family, wife of 53 yrs Linda, children Clayton (41), Linsey (39), and his brothers Raymond and Robert at his side. He was an amazing human who served his country in the USAF, then graduated from Valdosta State University to ensure that his children understood the value of service to others and education. Outside of his family, nothing brought him more joy than those simple things like, sweet tea in his chair. Watching baseball. Inspecting his grass in the yard with various dogs over the years.

I just saw this and I'm sad to hear about Randy's passing. I knew him from working with SMS and always loved the opportunity to be around him. He always was smiling and kind. So sorry... Reply to this comment

I worked with Randy many years ago at SMS. He was a leader, mentor and great person. I remember his stories, painting the stationwagon green still makes me laugh. Wonderful human being, I"m glad I knew him in some small way. Blessings to all, thank you for sharing him with us. Reply to this comment

Laura; You are right, Randy was a great guy. He have me my start in Healthcare IT and 36 years later, I am still at it. Randy taught me many things that I rely on to this day.

We knew Randy and Linda for 14 years as neighbors from right across the street. Randy was the very first person who came to welcome us as soon as we move in; he even gave us a hand helping unload some of our belongings. Randy was always ready to help if you needed him and was never too busy to just pass you by, him and Ruben shared many long conversations in the front yard as well as in our home throughout the years. We always found his stories charming and respected him very much as a great man of character and determination. Him and Linda were a great couple to have as our closest neighbors and friends, and although we are fortunate to still have Linda, we will surely miss Randy and the long charming chats... It has been a joy to know Randy and Linda for the last 51 years. Watching their love grow along with their family has been awe inspiring. Staying committed to one another through lifes ups and downs and keeping their love and respect for one another is something that only happens to rare couples. Knowing Randy has been one of life's blessings to me. We are all better for having him in our lives. May he rest in peace knowing he had a life well lived. Reply to this comment

The thing that brings Randy closest to my heart is that when my son was a small child and he had difficulty speaking so people could understand him. But Randy always sought him out and made a special effort to talk to him, befriend him and love him. I will miss you with all my heart. ❤️❤️ Reply to this comment
