Gary David Hopkins

Gary was a graduate of Jacksonville State University where he was a member of the marching band. He received his master’s degree from the University of Alabama where he was an acclaimed Drum Major. He won many honors with his drum & bugle corps and his bands that he lead were invited to many prominent parades and ceremonies.

He was a member of his beloved Spirit of Atlanta, the Million Dollar Band alumni, the JSU Marching Southerners Alumni, and Friends of Spirit. The people in these groups were great friends & loving family!

He was a person with great wit and a giving heart. An extremely generous and thoughtful person always willing to help anyone in a pinch.

There was no one like him nor ever will be!
