Mark Anthony Mathis

After a long battle against Parkinson’s Disease, Mark Anthony Mathis of Cartersville, GA passed in his home surrounded by loved ones on February 26, 2021 and age 60. He was born on April 11, 1960 in Marietta, GA. He was a beloved husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. He never met a stranger and could always put a smile on anyone’s face. He loved classic cars, trout fishing, hunting, and being with friends and family. Mark spent many years being Santa Clause for his community and surrounding areas. He had a passion for Christ and was a member of Iron Hill Baptist Church for 26 years. He is preceded in death by his parents: Howard Mathis, Sr. and Estelle G. Mathis, his brother: Jackie Mathis, and son: Cody Mathis. He is survived by his loving wife: Cindy, of 37 years, son: Keith (Lynn), daughter: Gracie, daughter-in-law: Kandy, grandsons: Nate and Philip, brothers: Howard Mathis, Jr., J.W. Mathis (Annette), and Marty Mathis (Nickie), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. His memorial service will be held on March 13, 2021 at 1pm at Iron Hill Baptist Church in Acworth, GA. His service will be shared with the memorial service of his son, Cody
