Timothy John Comerford passed away peacefully January 22, 2020, at the age of 64. He was proceeded in death by his parents William and Mary Comerford, and his brother Bill Comerford. He is survived by wife, Joanne. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Ryan, wife Brittany, Lauren, husband Scottie, Shannon, three grandchildren, Braxton, Austyn, Camryn, as well as, brothers Terrance, Mark, wife Janet, and sisters Mary Beth, husband Roger, and Erin.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He continued his civil service with the Department of Defense, and retired after 37 dedicated years. He had a strong allegiance to the University of Notre Dame. He was a gracious supporter of St Jude Children’s research hospital. 

A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, January 28, 10am, at St Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta, Georgia. There will be a private burial with Military Honors at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia. 

In lieu of flowers, Tim would appreciate a donation to St Jude Children Research Hospital.

We are thinking of all of you in this time of loss! We have many fond and fun memories of Tim and the Comerford family! Cheer cheer for old ND... bring up the echoes cheering her name... send a volley....... Memories of ND road trip with little Ryan in mini van, the pep rally and ND bookstore, parties at your house playing Jenga, Christmas get togethers with all of our young kids, memories of St Pats Day with the Comerford family. Lauren, you have been such a wonderful support for Tim! We are so sorry for the loss of your dad as we have personal experience with that heartache ourselves. Our prayers are with Tim's family at this difficult time. Eddie and I love Tim. His wonderful sense of humor and his robust laugh will always be remembered. He and Joanne were at our wedding, In fact, Tim drove us there about 90 miles an hour because we were running late! Tim was always a good friend. Dear Joanne, Ryan, Lauren, and Shannon, Jim and I have many fond memories of your dad. In the short time we lived in GA Joanne and Tim welcomed us into their hearts and home. We spent many holidays together and we will carry those memories with us for the rest of our lives. Your dad was a great man and he will be sorely missed.
